Instagram post types: Feed, Reel and Story

When you post to Instagram you choose where it appears:

Feed: shows in your main feed and on your profile grid. This is the normal choice for photos.
Reel: a short video that Instagram can show to people who do not follow you yet. Best for reaching new audiences.
Story: shown for 24 hours and then removed.

You can select more than one to publish the same content to several places at once.
